The Comedy Album - double LP by Kleenex Girl Wonder, 2015

Graham Smith is the primus motor of Kleenex Girl Wonder - a steadfast musician from New York. His breakthrough, Ponyoak from 1998, got some attention but it was in Japan he found his largest audience. Since then, he kept writing songs and usually releasing an album a year.
His lyrics bear some resemblance to my work; laden with symbolism, metaphors, dark humour and self irony, verbose crammed and crowded imagery.

in 2014 I wrote to him, proclaiming my admiration - and then he offered me to make the cover for his upcoming release, the Comedy Album!

I feel a kinship to Graham Smith (even though kgw consist of more band members I think it’s fair to say Graham IS the band), both in the ways of lyrics, theme, buildup, introspection, self flagellation, humour and dark comedy.
My favourite albums are many: the Comedy Album, Yes Boss, Ponyoak, Ms Equitone, Accept the Mystery and Let it Buffer are my most played ones
